What I didn't mention is that I have the tiniest saddle pack in the world. I can carry two bottles with just enough room left over for a power bar and a hoof pick. So where will I put those two extra giant syringes?
Supplies:
Gorilla glue, needle and thread, elastic, scissors, sharpie, tape measure and syringe (for sizing). |
Step one: Hold syringe up to bottle holders and mark attachment points.
Step two: Make little loops of elastic (left over from some long-forgotten sewing project).
Step three: Glue and sew loops onto bottle holder.
Step four: Congratulate yourself on amazing endurance innovation!
Please tell me I'm not the first person to think of this. |
That is AWESOME!
ReplyDeleteHave you tested it? like, with a full syringe?
ReplyDeleteMy problem is that I can't fit the LENGTH of a full syringe anywhere. If the plunger is all the way up, it's a little taller than my (capacious) pommel bags. Plus, applesauce is unspeakably gross when you cram something else in the same bag and it oozes out the bottom of the syringe; ask me how I know this.
Anyway, what I did at GC was load dry powder into the syringe and carried an unopened snack-pack of applesauce, shoved in a ziplock. That way the syringe stayed short and the apple goo was double-bagged, kinda.
I am worried that they may bounce apart and make a mess. I'm going to try them with plain water on Friday and make adjustments from there!
ReplyDeleteWe need an invention of shorties for women's small hands. A bigger diameter barrel, and short plunger. (sounds like my body type) *LOL*
